Brahman Hills in Nottingham Road has everything we love about a Midlands wedding: a lakeside chapel, a beautifully styled barn reception and moody mountain weather that makes for unforgettable photographs.

Photographing a Wedding at Brahman Hills

The Cottages

The bridal party and groomsmen can get ready in cottages on opposite sides of the valley. The cottage rooms have stayed true to their original character, which gives us lovely textures and window light for getting-ready photos. Allow a little time to move between the two.

The Lakeside Chapel

The chapel overlooks the man-made lake, and the ceremony setup photographs elegantly from every angle. When the sun comes out after the ceremony, the exit under showers of petals is a highlight.

Portraits and Mountain Weather

For couple and bridal party portraits, a field close to the venue gives us wide, open countryside. Mist can roll over the mountainside quickly here, so we like to do portraits straight after the ceremony and then head into the barn.

The Barn Reception

The barn nearest to the Salon makes a beautiful reception space and is easy to personalise. At Eileen and Lennard’s wedding, their surname was cut out behind the couple’s table, which made for a lovely backdrop for speeches.
