Brahman Hills Wedding: Lennard & Eileen

We would like to welcome Eileen and Lennard to our blog this morning! They got married at Brahman Hills in Nottingham Road, and their day had everything we love about a Midlands wedding: a lakeside chapel, a beautifully styled barn reception and moody mountain weather that made for unforgettable photographs.

Getting Ready at Brahman Hills

Our morning started at the beautiful chapel overlooking the man-made lake, where every detail of the ceremony setup was elegant. The reception was set up in the barn venue nearest to the Salon, ready for the celebration later in the day.

The guys were getting ready in one of the nearby cottages, so we headed there first to photograph Lennard and his groomsmen in their tailor-made suits. They looked sophisticated and well groomed, and were a pleasure to work with.

From there we crossed to the opposite side of the valley to join Eileen and her family. There was so much excitement in the air when we arrived, with everyone busy with their attire. Eileen was completely relaxed while her makeup was done, and her dress was extravagant, with so much detail!

The cottage rooms have stayed true to their original character, which gave us lots of textures to work with. The girls were a great team and we had so much fun with the first shoot of the day.

An Emotional Chapel Ceremony

The ceremony went according to plan. As Eileen walked down the aisle with her Mom and Dad by her side, Lennard just could not hold back his tears anymore. He was overwhelmed with joy, and it is exactly these genuine moments that we love to capture as documentary-style wedding photographers.

The Pastor gave a great sermon and kept the service short, leaving plenty of time for Eileen and Lennard to share their vows with each other. After the signing of the register and the first kiss, the sun came out for a great exit with showers of petals and laughter.

Bridal Portraits in the Nottingham Road Countryside

We took the couple to a field close by, and everyone in the retinue did a great job of taking direction from us. As soon as we had finished with the bridal couple, a mist started covering the mountainside and we all headed into the barn for some refreshments.

A Beautiful Barn Reception

The reception was so beautifully done, with the Schunemann surname cut out behind the couple. It was the perfect setting for an evening of celebration with family and friends.
