Candlelit Chantecler Hotel Wedding in Botha’s Hill: Andrew & Jolene

I would like to welcome Andrew and Jolene to our blog today! This couple got married at the Chantecler Hotel in Botha’s Hill. I thoroughly enjoyed this day, as it was filled with so much character and warmth from the guests and from this lovely couple. The weather was difficult, always threatening to rain but never fully doing so.

Getting Ready at the Chantecler

As I was familiar with the venue, I went to the bride first when I arrived. Jolene was a vision, so beautiful in her dress made by the talented Joslyn Kim Bridal Wear. The excitement was in the air, and by the time I got to Andrew’s side the guys were just buzzing with nerves. Andrew seemed calm and collected, and his tailor-made suit sat perfectly on him. I even recognised some of the groomsmen from previous weddings I had done.

A Candlelit Ceremony

The ceremony was intimate and lit by candles. There were a few tears shed amongst the crowd as the bride entered, and I could even see Andrew’s eyes were a bit wet.

Portraits Before the Rain

At the creative shoot the weather kept threatening, and I pushed the photos until the rain started. The bridal retinue was easy to work with and we had lots of fun. Jolene was a natural model alongside Andrew; both were very photogenic.

An Electric Reception

At the reception the entrance was just electric as the couple came in. The speeches were full of laughs and lots of memories were shared, we remembered the ones we have lost, and the food was just delicious. We had the famous wedding march that involved everyone at the venue, and I ended off the shoot with an impressive night shot.

I would like to thank Jolene and Andrew for entrusting their special day to us, and wish them only success in their future together.
